dark rumblings from rockingham old committee having secret meetings looking to regain control at next agm coup on the cards
Your post is a load of shit don't try and start stupid rumors meathead
No truth to this rumour.
Previous committee were put to the sword and cremated to ensure they couldn't ressurect themselves.
You could say the same thing about any club, any time, and nine times out of ten you'd be on the money.
So what?
Is Kim Short looking over his shoulder? Is Hansie in a blue funk? Is Boyd Wirahini slashing his wrists?
Truth is, they'd all probably be delighted to hand over the reins to anyone even mildly interested in accepting them.
When has there ever been a contest for election to a voluntary position?
We're all better at whining than at actually doing something.
Resurrection is a strong theme central to many beliefs - the club is in a great financial position - there would be something to return to - why the rumblings?
What are the rumors ruckman
it does not take long but every rumor has some truth to it
What's a blue funk Fulvio?
A state of great terror or loss of nerve.
Geeze, That happens to me every single Saturday Afternoon around 3:30pm.
BTW - where have you been?
Some people get their rocks off on rumours (or starting them)
I am sure that after decades of service to the club, taking over the club would be the last thing on the minds of ex-committee members.
Load of infantile horse shit I say.
There is a new committee in place at Rockingham, and while this will be a learning year, they have already improved many areas.
Anyone who is prepared to take on a demanding volunteer role in any sports club should be supported and thanked.
There will always be disagreement about how a club is run, but in the 25 years that I served the club, I had my fair share of detractors too.
Thanks to all volunteers at all Rugby Clubs, you are the people that keep this sport going in the sometimes hostile environment of WA.
nicely put
Great words Bunter.
It's never easy being at the top of the tree, less so when you're a volunteer and have been elected to the position by the membership. Too easy for the weak to snipe from the shadows, but not do a single thing to back up their words.
Good to hear, from a man I trust, that the committee are pointing the ship in the right direction!
C'mon the![]()
