Great effort by the force, well done to them.
Ok so honestly, who didn't tip them to win their very first game ever?
My guess would be Exile, he's not too good at tipping!Originally Posted by Sagerian

yeah congrats to the Team ... it was a win but man did they do it the hard way in the dying minutes of the game!!!
and what about that tight head in the dying minutes......bought a tear to an old props eyes
Poor Pusey, getting sent off just before they seal it!!
For a team that relies so much on kicking penalty goals to make their scores, it's a tad ironic that the one game the Cheetahs choose to go for the try they lose
Couldn't believe that they would make that decision with only about 90 seconds left on the clock and only three points required to steal the game!
Jeez, I'm glad they did though, could just see the whole kebang blowing apart at the death yet again!
Fantastic effort by the Force to hang on with a man down and so close to the line.

Poor bugger, as he was walking off he had a look of "Oh no, what have I done!" on his face, probably thought he had buggered it for his mates as all the Cheetahs needed was to pot the Penalty Goal to win.Originally Posted by Happy
In hindsight it was probably his carding which broke the Cheetahs momentum enough for the Force to regroup on their try line and hold on.

I think Cheetahs were in a similar position recently to win by a penalty goal and muffed it, so this time it was 'go for the scrum pushover try' but the Force were good enough to repel it .
Force have learnt some really hard lessons the hard way this year, but it will of great benefit next year.
Tahs (Rogers) made a decision that backfired as did Cheetahs. I think that a few S14 teams will have the following subject whiteboarded and in THE PLAYERS study folders; "CLOSING OUT A WIN" !!!
On the upside though- what a great tackle from Shepherd to close down that break-out potential 70m try. Also Stanners try and his 'body on the line' ball secure from the long line-out was critical to the win. He is a matchwinner, as has been his defensive centre partner Graham. With two more matchwinners on board now in Gits and DM, the backline looks potent for next year.
