It is hard to believe that its 20 years since Australia’s first Rugby World Cup win and to celebrate the event, Joondalup Brothers Rugby Club are hosting the 1991 Wallabies coach and rugby icon, Bob Dwyer at the club on 9 June 2011. Bob will be spending the weekend with the Brothers during which time he will conduct a number of coaching sessions with junior and senior players as well as session with coaches across the club. The highlight of the weekend will be a formal dinner which is been held at the Premier Suite at the Arena Joondalup on Friday 10 June 2011 which Bob will attend as guest of honour. Dinner guests will be able to listen to how he took the unfancied Wallabies to the top of the rugby world and also take part in a question and answer session with Bob.
Brothers Junior Vice President Liam Smyth said “we are delighted to have a coach of Bob’s standing visit our club and mentor our players and coaches, he is a rugby icon not just in Australia but across the rugby world and we see his visit as being another step in our journey to Premier Grade Status”.
