Turinui targets breakdown battle
July 04, 2008 AUSTRALIA A rugby captain Morgan Turinui says his team must meet the physicality of the New Zealand Maori and win the battle of the breakdown in Sunday's Pacific Nations Cup decider at North Sydney Oval.
Turinui's side will take a two-point lead over the Maori into their final round clash in the six-team tournament.
Australia A will field a revamped back row for the match after Stephen Hoiles and Hugh McMeniman were promoted to the Wallabies squad for the second Test against France.

With our two extra bonus points ahead of NZ Maori's we will win if we draw anyway. I think that Brown should have retained his position at #8. Who is Leroy Houston?

AusA have lost a fair few quality players the last week, im not really liking there chances this weekend.
It will be an interesting tussle TOCC.
I'd reckon there's prob three to five points in this match with 15% chance of a blowout either way. Should be pretty absorbing!

If Mcmenimen plays 20min or less for the Wallabies he will back up for the Maori game on Sunday..
I dont think Mcmenimen has the fitness level to last more then 20min of test football at the moment anyway, since his injury he has only played like 5 games half of which were club rugby.
PLayed most of the game against the Fijians didn't he? Thats a good start at least.

didnt sound like a very intense match though, it might be a bit different if he is slogging it out against the likes of Chabal..
apparently its pissing down in Brisbane as well, so the match will probably be a forwards match tonight.
Your kiddin'! Chabal is THE most overated player in Froggeland and other parts. He looks dahsing enough but he wastes half his time flicking his hair out of the way. He puts in 100% for about 15 minutes per match and the rest of the time he looks shagged. Did nothing the other night and will do nothing tonight. He's only on the tour to put a few more bums on seats to see Captain Caveman.
Cheesh!

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
