ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - PETROL STRIKE

Petrol prices PROTEST!!! Must read. . . .
Body: IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A
DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD
    CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A
NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
    COMPANIES.

THEREFORE FRIDAYFEBRUARY 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY
DECLARED STICK IT UP THEIR ASS' DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT
BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF
YOU COPY THIS BULLETIN TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY
AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE
PRICES ? IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND
CONTROL IN PRICES THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISEDLONG AGO?

THE PRICES JUST KEEP GOING UP AND WE NEED TO STOP IT

PETROL PRICES ARE CAUSING OTHER EFFECTS; AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR
PRICES, AS ARE TRUCKING COMPANIES . THIS INCREASES PRICES ON
EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING,
BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN
MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,WE WILL DO IT
AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. COPY THIS BULLETIN TO
EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND
    MAKE
    FEBRUARY22nd
THE DAY CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA SAY 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    SEND THIS AROUND!!!

Count yourself lucky. In the UK it has gone over 1 pound a litre which is almost twice what your paying. And then the government goes and wastes all of that taxed money on stupid crappy ideas and it is 'legally' embezzled by politicians. I know $1.30 a litre isn't great but when I was last at home it was about $1.50. We should consider how bad it could be.

But in the UK James you are presumably getting paid in pounds, and from my discussions with friends and relatives there it appears job for job you get the same number of pounds per hour as we get $AU.

Your UK advantage is when you bring your pounds back home, but gain no real advantage while you are in UK as the costs are comparatively the same.

However on that basis petrol, at least, is much cheaper in UK than here.

This ran last year and the year before. Unfortunately it didn't work either time.

I paid $1.59.9 for Diesel today, only 300km from Perth

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Unfortunately with how bad the pound is doing the benefits of bringing pounds back are weakening.

Wow, $1.30 a litre = $5.08 a gallon. You all are getting screwed.

I paid $2.83 a gallon the other day, in many places it's $3.00 and people are freaking out.

    Diesel is around $3.30

    Good luck with the strike.
