Huge news from France where top sports publisher L'Equipe report that All Blacks legends Dan Carter and Joe Rokocoko have tested positive for steroid use while playing for their European club side Racing 92.
The test was conducted by the AFLD (French agency for the fight against doping) at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona after their match with French side Toulon in European competition on June 25.
Carter, the leading international points scorer of all time, Rokocoko, and fellow Racing player Juan Imhoff have allegedly failed a test for performance enhancing substances following returning a positive urine sample.
L'Equipe are saying the first urine tests are showing abnormalities for substances that are prohibited during competition and players had not alerted them to any medical reasons for taking the steroids.
Neither club or players have commented on the news, although it is now being reported by mainstream media across Europe.
