Luke Doherty had his plate full in 2006 commiting to the Force from the start (one of the 11 at the inaugural Western Force trainning sessions) he went on to be selected in all 13 S14 squads for 2006 of which he started 5 on the feild with 8 on the bench but still recived playing time in all. Not a stranger to Super Rugby he has also clocked up 23 caps for the Reds before being recruited to the west.
2006 highlights include:
Starting at No.6 in the very first Western Force S14 match against the Brumbies.
Being named Captain for all the 2006 Western Force Gold games(10) where he played both lock(#5) and flanker(#6), .
