THe Country Carnival has wound up for another year with Dunsborough holding onto the title for another year.
A great weekend although I only got to see it on Sunday.
It was nice to meet Krusher face to face.
The whole weekend seem to show what a great family WA Country Rugby is. I hope it can move on to even greater things.
The Busso Jets played a Walla game as a Curtain raiser to the final and the older kids teamed up with Kataning to play the Dunsborough Golden Oldies team.

it was a great weekend and i leart a lot when i did the smarter rugy course. i am now counting down the days till the esperance trip
What a fantastic weekend- great people, rugby, venue, organisation and more importantly- attitude!! It was a lot of hard work by a lot of people- I must name some- Amanda Cutler first and foremost- put her heart o0n the line for this one, but lent a professionalism into everything that set the tone for the whole weekend!! Scott Webster moved heaven and earth as he has all year for the benefit of rugby and Wayno Flood, ever present- spent the tournament on the golf buggy- you have to have respect for a club that has one of those!! To have 12 teams on paper and they all show and play was a huge achievement by everyone- well done! The referee's set the standard for the players and I recieved nothing but good comments about them all- gotta be a first- the 2 Marks, Tinky, Colin, the 2 Perth refs and then Coops in the final- good refs allow the players to get on with playing- congrats to them and the players!! The women, the little guys, the juniors- they all added to the weekend and hopefully showed the direction the game has to go in. Finally the comraderie that is a testament to rugby, but even more important in country rugby where it is so community based- thanks to all of you, was great!!
i personaly had a blast, great rugby, spectacular location (helps when your hotel room car park ajoins the pubs with the playing grounds directly across the road!!), an all round well organised event. great to meet lmagg and for our juniors to have a small match and then take on the Cowpats, Katanning/Collie only lost one game for the weekend and took out the second division final! and albany also won in the game i played for them.
So all in all it was a great weekend!!
