So I have been debating whether or not I am actually going to be bothered voting in the coming election ...
I like the idea of keeping the state Liberal, if we lose liberal leadership, and labor retain fedral power after the election there is no hope for our health system and the GST will eventually be increased to fund the fedral governments "health plan". However, Labour have been saying the only reason we don't have a decent rectangle stadium is due to the Liberals.
So should I vote for the possiblity of a stadium or should I vote to keep public heath a state responsibility...
If only I could finish my time machine before the votes need to be cast... I could see who will screw up the country the least...

You are required to vote (read: get your name marked off on the roll), so make sure that happens.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

Generally, I don't vote as it goes against the Liberal-Democratic values the country is built apon. By making it compulsory to vote the government is taking away the citizens' rights to freedom. Compulsory voting represents a failure of democracy.
However, I may be inclined to vote this time, if I feel there is someone worthy of my vote...

If you don't vote you forfeit any right to praise/complain about how the country is run
It's only effectively compulsory to attend, what you do in the booth (within reason...) is your own business. That said, would probably get better outcomes from both elections and electioneering (both sides) if the parties didn't have to pander to the numbies to get over the line.
Think I would call my own party The Donkey Vote to see if I could pick up the protest margins![]()

Funnily enough the sitting member in any given seat is always listed at the top of the ballot form just for that Donkey Vote reason
whats the point of voting if you don't like any of the candidates?! and I don't like the idea of voting for the lesser of two evils!
None the less, this is not about my lack of voting, but rather who should I vote for if I was to vote for any party!![]()
