Sorry if you have covered this topic, its been a while since I have been to this site.
I had a fairly long telephone chat yesterday with the Membership Manager for the Force. I asked particularly about the way seats would be allocated when we move to ME. He said that he would be the one handling that and outlined the process.
Obviously diamond members and sponsors are looked after first, then when it comes to the masses ..... Gold Members who have been members since day one get priority - they have recorded the order in which people joined and that is the order of allocation. Once all Gold members from season one have been allocated seats then they move to foundation silver, then bronze or nickel or whatever it is that comes next. After that its back to Gold members who joined in season 2 and are still members, then season 2 silver etc.
IMPORTANT: The foundation silver members only get priority for silver seats at ME, likewise nickel get nickel etc.
Eventually they will work their way down to recent Gold Members, by this time the ME Gold seats might have gone so they will have to go to Silver ...BUT, as above, long serving Silver members would already have been given the best Silver seats.
Sorry if I didn't explain it very well, basically you get rewarded for length of continuous membership, which I think is fair.
He also mentioned that as next year is season 5 they are looking at some sort of recognition for 'Foundation' members who are still hanging in there.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Explained it well enough for me GD and makes me even more grateful for having persisted with our ordinary allocated Gold seats since day one!
"Bloody oath we did!"

Same, I had a feeling it would be like this. Glad I kept up.
so I started out as a Nickel member so that means I will be offered the same, not the Silver that I upgraded to last year? If I read that right
so this means that a move is definately happening?
Not sure, I suspect that you might be treated either as a continuous nickel member or as a second season silver member, whichever works out the better.
As for if it is definately happening, he was fairly careful not to specifically state that, probably because no contracts have been signed yet, but the fact that he has plans for seat alloation says a lot. He was certainly being very positive about the move happening.

I'll let you know what my Gold seat is like Jargs.
As long as you promise to tell me what the view is like from the carpark![]()

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Not going to hold my breath, seat allocation is the least of our worries....... I reckon they put up temporary scaffold over the Shed to get a few more in? Like to see them put another layer ontop of the eastern side LETS having a working bee there............ I have a welder. ACTION
well according to todays Sunday Times there is just under 11,000 members at the moment

wounder what they were realistically hoping for
Has there been any talk about a big screen. I certaintly miss that for replays at MES. I assume that this will be a given.
Me too, it was wierd not watching replays of tries.
If seats are determined by membership then I'm stuffed but it will still be better than Subi so meh!
Thanks for that info GD, I was hoping that they would allocate seats to long term members first.
