Anyone know the score?
Despite what may have happened (and obviously I don't know or I wouldn't be asking) I still think the Dogs were dumb to have accepted this game.
OK it was a repeat of Rockingham's anniversary match but for goodness sake Wanneroo this result may just put your season on the line.
Rocky won 27-12
Clean sweep by rocky all grades won
A clean sweep by Rocky!
That would have cost the club more free beer than it could afford!
How long since that's happened? Never since 1972?
they were called Wallaroo back then
The lights were great - good to have a game on a Friday - it gives people the opportunity to go and watch other teams play as well as their own. I quite liked the old Sunday games for that reason
I would have thought a clean sweep should mean wins by 18s and 20s, which of course Rockingham don't have.
The teams that rocky put out all won if that is a bit hard for you to understand shut your trap meathead there is always some prick who wants to put negative comments on things and you are him
Nah, a clean sweep, for the purposes of a free keg, means a win in each grade that the club competes in on that weekend.
To have it otherwise would give the advantage to the committee, who, curiously, both desire and fear the possibility of such an event, and avoid coughing up at any opportunity.
I would counsel also any club members who earn a free keg in these circumstances, that they appoint a steward to oversee the spearing of said keg, count the number of jugs poured therefrom, and ensure that no facility exists for the addition of water to the product.
Committee people are mercenary and sneaky.
I see. So the Women that lost 66-5 don't count in this "clean sweep". Does that mean they were not allowed a drink from the keg?
4th grade were losing to Wanneroo so they brought on at least 4 1st grade players.. no idea why, they are near the bottom off the ladder, no chance of making the semis. It's pretty lame when clubs do this to be honest.
Welcome to Rugby in WA where some teams will do anything to win any flag. Even 4th Grade!
Did the players who no doubt have turned out for 4th Grade every week have a say in it I wonder.
