INJURED fullback Cameron Shepherd reveals frustration at not being able to pull on a Wallaby jumper - and of watching a teammate ruin his hairstyle.
It was so hard watching Saturday's Test against the South Africans and not being able to be a part of the team. It was particularly hard not being able to play in Perth.
The more I watched the game and the more the television cameras showed the crowd, the more I realised how much I look forward to playing in front of those passionate home supporters.
I managed to get out of the house and go with my parents to North's, my old Sydney rugby club, to watch the match. But I have to admit, I'm not the best person to watch a game with when I so desperately want to be a part of it.
It was an awesome win for the Wallabies. They showed great passion. I just wish I could have been out there.

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
poor Sheps. Atleast the Wallabies (players, coach, staff) and kind enough to call him and make him feel welcome. His injury was a major setback for him and the Wallabies. Hope this is his last injury for a while, he deserves a good clean run

Please post link to Sunday Times article or Uncle Rupert will cancel Sheps column because he doesn't think anyone is reading it...
here's a diff one:
PERTHNOW exclusive: Wallabies fullback Cameron Shepherd writes of the disaster that struck during the recent Test against France.
I'm so disappointed because I know I was playing good football and I was enjoying it.
I want that Wallabies fullback jersey. It may take a little bit longer to get my hands on it, but I'm determined to wrap my fingers around it again.
That's my goal and I'll be back fitter and stronger.

I love the mocking of Drew about his hair, sounds familiar.
Atleast Sheps isn't spending his time moping around. Good to hear his out watching the boys and stirring them up a bit.
glad he shares the funny thought of Drew as a front rower! classic Wallaby history if he actually had to!

Poor ShepsI just wanna give him a big hug!
Anyway, as you all said, at least he can share the amusement at the thought of Drew as a forward.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.
