I've got a good idea, why don't we let the WAFC hire MES from Rugby, League and Soccer for their games, after the redevelopment.

On the same terms as they hire Subiaco to us, of course.

did any one hear Ben Buckley's (chairman of football australia)media interview in regards to Scubiaco stadium ?

Not up to international standards for any code (this is coming from the 2nd in charge ex AFL chairman) and its not suitable for rectangluar sports. We, football australia needs to upgrade MES, if MES held 25,000 Perth would get an international soccer match in Perth, and be on the cards to get world cup games when australia was to host a soccer world cup in australia, at the moment NO chance with current stadium choices.

Then Brad Fittler & Wayne Bennett (argularly the best player and coach in there times) say we NRL need to upgrade MES to be considered for an NRL license, we Perth lost the ARL license cause of the crowd numbers at the WACA (once again a non rectangular stadium)

PLEASE government give us a stadium so we can enjoy the rugby, rugby league, and soccer with a world class stadium we get world class games which pushing money back into our state with high revenue. I dont think the merry-go-round wheel on the foreshore will bring in the $$$$$ like an upgrade to MES would give us fans.

We aren't all interested in AFL.

Fong was never in Government, he was appointed to a Government job, a very high paying job to fix the WA health system and he did a bang up job didnt he

25,000 is not enough for a Football World Cup. FIFA rules regarding the world cup state that just to get a pool game a stadium must have a capacity of 40,000
