Just thought I would let you guys know if you didn't already that this guy has signed to play the season over here for Northland. So he will join Adam Clarke in the squad. Any feedback on how good he is?? It sounds like he has had bad luck with injuries...
Pat O'Connor?
Shame he's gone but yeah, has had a horror run of injuries so probably not unexpected the pressure came on.
You've got a good player there Taniwha, when he is on the park.
He was especially effective in his first season though some seem to have forgotten that over time. Debuted when Sharpey was out as I recall and really stood up.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
He never found his stride after his horror run - reckon he could do with a bit of slack for a couple of games before you really see him play -just to get his confidence back - he was an excellent worker with a healthy dose of mongrel in the right measure if you know what I mean.
Hope he does well he is young enough to really give it a shot.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Beef was awesome, when fit. Unfortunately, he's been hamstrung (almost literally) by dodgy knees.
Watch season 2006 (when Rudi Vedelago was out all year) for an example of his quality.....all class!

As I understand it he has signed for a year over here to get match fit and his intention is to head back to the Force. We had a similar situation with Julian Huxley about 4 or 5 years ago. He had been having injury problems, came over here had a good, injury free season and went back a better player obviously eventually making the Wallabies. I don't think he would stay over here anyway because not being a Kiwi would make it nigh on impossible to pick up a Super rugby contract.
Hopefully he has a good season for Northland, heads back a better player for the Force and Northland are able to develop some young players for next season and onwards. Win-win for Northland and the Force...
