Kurtley Beale

Kurtley Beale comes to the Waratahs from renowned Sydney Rugby nursery St. Joseph’s College, where he played first XV in 2004, 05 and 06.
An ultra-talented flyhalf whose silky skills have been compared to those of Mark Ella and Stephen Larkham, Beale signed with the Waratahs while still in year 11 at school. Captain of the Australian Schoolboys in 2006, Beale is set to tour with the squad to Fiji and New Zealand over September and October and will join the Waratahs after the completion of his High School Certificate examinations.
Tom Carter

A big, hard running centre from the Sydney University club, Tom Carter adds tremendous depth to the backline stocks of the Waratahs as they chase Super 14 glory in 2006.
A Waratah tourist in 2004 & 2005 and former Australia Sevens player, Tom has been a standout at club level in recent years, featuring heavily in the Students Tooheys New Cup winning performance in 2005.
Equally strong in attack and defence, Carter won his call up to the Waratahs full time squad through a mixture of natural talent and sheer hard work. As one option available to coach Ewen McKenzie following the departure of 2005 player of the year Nathan Grey, Carter will be out to extend upon his five provincial caps during the 2006 season.
A product of Knox Grammar School on Sydney's North Shore, Carter played two seasons of first XV Rugby before going on to represent NSW Schools in 2000.
Tim Davidson

Backrower Tim Davidson joins the HSBC Waratahs on a one year deal after spending the 2006 Super 14 season with the Western Force. A two-time Tooheys New Cup winning captain with Sydney University, Davidson made his Waratah debut against the Brumbies in the opening round of the 2006 APC and went on to score his debut try two weeks later in the win over his former team. Winner of the 2005 The Sydney Morning Herald award for club player of the year, Davidson is big, strong and enormously mobile, and is equally at home at either blindside flanker or number eight.
Sam Harris

A naturally gifted and hard-running centre, Sam Harris made his debut for the Waratahs against the Cats at Ellis Park in round four of the 2001 Super 12 season. Two seasons and 16 state matches later, New Zealand born, Sydney raised Harris accepted an offer to join National Rugby League club Manly, where he spent three seasons, the highlight of which was representing City Origin in 2004.
In 2006 Harris switched to the Wests Tigers, playing the last of his 64 NRL matches, before re-signing back with the Waratahs for 2007 and 2008. He made his first Waratah appearance since the 2002 Super 12 semifinal in the opening match of the Australian Provincial Championship, coming off the bench in a 14-13 loss to the ACT Brumbies.
Sam earned a berth on the end of season 2006 Gulf Air Development Tour to the UK and Ireland.
Beau Robinson

Beau Robinson is a tearaway young flanker from the Northern Suburbs club who burst onto the scene with a big year at both club and representative level in 2006. A debutant against the Brumbies in round one of the APC, he went on to become one of just three players to feature in all four matches on the Waratahs 2006 end of season Gulf Air Development Tour of the UK & Ireland. After spending a year with the Bulldogs rugby league club in 2005, Robinson returned to Rugby, representing NSW U19s, the Waratah Academy, NSW A and the Waratahs in quick succession.
Still only 20 years of age, Beau will be a more than able back up to Wallaby number 7 Phil Waugh in the seasons to come.
Chris Siale

An electrifying ball runner, Chris Siale enters his second season with the Waratahs with a reputation for consistency in Sydney club Rugby. A backline standout for the West Harbour Pirates over the past few Tooheys New Cup seasons, Siale has made the switch for 2006, joining the Manly Marlins.
While yet to get a start at Super 14 level, he’s worked hard to add versatility and variety to his game and has been a solid performer for NSW on tour in Argentina 2004 and Eastern Europe in 2005.
Jeremy Tilse

Jeremy Tilse is a gun young prop from the Sydney University club. A Tooheys New Cup premiership winner in 2006, he went on to make his state debut against Saracens A on the Gulf Air Development Tour.
An Australian representative at schoolboy and U19 level, Jeremy hails from the Hunter Valley town of Maitland and comes to the Waratahs via the Maitland Rugby Club, St Joseph’s College first XV, and the NSW Waratah Academy.
Lachlan Turner

An Australian Schoolboy out of Sydney’s Newington College in 2005, Lachlan Turner has long been recognised as a player a great potential.
Equally adept at fullback or on the wing, his size and speed make him particularly difficult to handle. A try scorer for Australia in the World U19 Championship Final in Dubai in 2006, he’ll spend 2007 on a rookie contract before upgrading to a full contract the following season.
Lachlan made his state debut for NSW in the 2006 APC v Queensland Reds at Gosford. Shortly afterward, Lachlan featured on the end of season 2006 Gulf Air Development Tour to UK and Ireland where he notched his first points for NSW.
Josh Valentine

Josh Valentine returns home to NSW for the 2007 Tooheys New Super 14 season and beyond after spending the past four seasons with the Queensland Reds.
Brought up in Singleton in the Hunter Valley, Josh represented Australian Schools in years 11 and 12 before spending two years with the Australian U21s in 2003/04.
Hampered by injury in recent seasons, nonetheless Josh has been a regular for Australia A and in 2006 made his Test debut against England in Melbourne.
