THE Western Force could have a Wallaby partnership of the future after snatching another young talent from under the noses of the Queensland Reds.
They have signed hot property teenager Stefano Hunt who played with prodigious talent James O'Connor in the 1st XV backline at Brisbane's Nudgee College.
Hunt, 17, a cousin of Brisbane Bronco rugby league star Karmichael Hunt, can cover five-eighth, inside centre and fullback.
He was a year behind O'Connor at Nudgee.
He has signed a rookie contract and is predicted to be a big prospect for the 2011 Super season after spending next year training with the senior Force professional squad.
A member of the Queensland Reds academy, Hunt was in last year's Australian Schoolboys side where he played with another young Force member Justin Turner.
When Hunt and O'Connor played in the school same side, Hunt played at five-eighth with O'Connor at centre and Nudgee's director of Rugby and 1st XV coach Todd Dammers said: "He was the one player that could outshine James on occasions.
"When James wasn't the star Stefano was.
"One opposition once described it as trying to tackle smoke when they played together.
"He and James have a great rapport and once Stefano grows into himself (he weighs 89kg and stands 1.78m) they will make a great pairing at the Force.
"They could be a future Wallaby pairing. I wouldn't put anything past Stefano, he is such a talented footballer.
"He will surprise a lot of people with his presence. His footwork has to be seen to be believed and his hands are as good as James.
"He is a very level headed boy, just a great kid. He will kick on."

Hmm..maybe I'm reading too much into this.."He and James have a great rapport and once Stefano grows into himself (he weighs 89kg and stands 1.78m) they will make a great pairing at the Force."![]()
shit he's younger than me!
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

younger then my bro!
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
If JO'C hasn't already signed it sounds like this would be another reason for him to stay and build on a successful partnership that would likely last longer than a partnership with Giteau.
Great news!!
he's my age. thats insane. a great signing for the force. JOC - hint hint
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
He can't possibly be a tough player if his favourite movie is Twilight.
hahaha. yeah i read that twice to make sure i wasnt being overly dyslexic today.
it's ok. the twilight books have been almost as big as harry potter. and he is the right age to be swept along with them. we'll have to let that one slide.
but someone dit him down and make him at least watch cinderella man, or patch adams!
Well Andre Pretorius can mentor him as well... He is a little small? I look forward to seeing him get a run...
He looks eerily similar to Quade Cooper.
He's a back. No surprises there.
Its Queenslands latest idea. Clone Quade. Pass him off as a young super star and then have him drop a lot of ball for the Force.
How much does Giteau weigh? At 18 he'll put more weight on in the future.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
