Hi all,
I'm pleased to inform you that SportFM is back on air and has reached agreement to broadcast all Force matches this S14 season.
I'm thrilled to announce Leon Ruri will again be beside me for all home games.
The station returned to the airwaves on July 3rd 2008 after an amazing campaign by listeners resulted in 13,000 emails of complaint when the station went off-air in the previous January. TWF members played a large part in helping the station return, along with fans of Cricket, Soccer, Bowls and many other sports not happy with the mainstream media's treatment of non-AFL sports.
You will recall that SportFM was the only station to broadcast every Force match in the first 2 seasons.
Most games will feature a 30 minute preview, and there will be Talkback after most games.
Any companies wishing to sponsor the Rugby output should call Jason Dattilo on 9418 7700.
I'll provide you with more details about the coverage closer to the first game.
good to hear from you once again david, and great news on the broadcasting of next seasons games...i always enjoy the talkback as im walking back to the car and driving home...
Thanks Slomo,
Its great that you listen to the Talkback, how about calling in sometime.
I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Are you doing the Crusaders pre season match on Friday??
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
We won't be doing any of the practice matches.
Our coverage will kick-off with the first home game of the S14 season against the Blues on Feb 13th.
I will be at the Crusaders game and available if anyone wants to buy me a beer!
That's great Dave. I haven't actually listened to you guys because I live far away. Do you do a quick wrap of local and country rugby news?
Hi Imaag,
On the Force coverage we concentrate fully on the S14 with Features, Packages and Interviews prior to the game, and Talkback and player interviews post-game.
We are in discussions with Rugby WA about coverage of the local scene in a weekly show we hope to get off the ground soon. If possible we'd also like to broadcast some club games too.
The advantage of the local show is that we can stream that on the Internet whereas the S14 coverage is restricted to radio transmissions only.
Rugby WA has been hugely supportive of the station and I think we all agree the more we can hear Rugby being talked about on a variety of stations the better it is for the game.
Any companies wishing to explore sponsoring either the S14 coverage or the local show (or both) can email station manager Jason Dattilo at jason@sportfm.com.au

This is brilliant news, especially for those of us that don't have foxtel. Following the away games on the internet is fine, but listening to it live on radio again is even better.

Go The Force!
I think it would be great if 6PR do broadcast the game on Friday night.
Our priority is the main S14 season to ensure there are no gaps in coverage especially for the away games and sadly that doesn't extend to practice matches or friendlies.
Thanks for the support fullback, and those beers look really good!
Good news Dave. Priority is naturally the S14, but I have to ask about the Club Challenge in Singapore. There may be little else by way of coverage...
