It is with great sadness I bring to you the news that the Legend of Rugby Gary Mickle passed away Yesterday afternoon with his family at his side.
The Wallabies trialist and international record holder will now be playing the game they play in heaven, Rugby.
Seen here after a game of Rugby with his two sons, at the Singapore Cricket Club, you can see how much he loved the game, having played until he was 75!
PS daughter not included cause she only played League.

Rest in peace, dear friend.
Memories of happy times.
My condolences to all the family.
Vale Gary.
Sending heartfelt condolences to Gary’s family and friends.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
I had the pleasure/privilege of refereeing a grandy with Gary propping for Paly. Legend of the local game. Sad to read the news.
Condolences to his boys & family.
Condolences to his family. Never met the man. But I rember reading in the paper about this legendary player still going in his 60's. Was in the late 80's I think while we still lived in the Pilbara. I remember as we had 3 or 4 ex-Pally blokes in our Mungo team.
Anyway I Googled it and this, from Fulvio came up. Good tribute with the obligatory bit of banter from Gunny. RIP

"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
I'm so sorry to hear this, Dave.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
he used to be a very competitive sailor from memory-think he used to sail out of SOP yacht club in SS27's
Had the pleasure of working with Gary many years ago, had a yarn for every occasion, true gentleman and great guy to be around, condolences to the family
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
A huge loss to Community Rugby. Condolences to Gary, Dave and the family as well to Pallies, a legend gone, but not forgotten.
think there should be a Mickle cup for games between Pally and Neddies
I believe there has been one organised for this weeks game Palmyra vs Nedlands at Nedlands.
