So folks here it is. TC9 has been a prodigal, but sort of busy one, to TWF. The Mighty Boom Chooks of Fresno are Boise-bound, 10 up and none down for this year. Perhaps I was Lazy, Perhaps I was merely superstitious, but here is our final league table:
Fresno finished out the season as Nor Cal D2 Champs, and also a perfect Regular Season going 10-0. They were also unbeaten in pre-season going 4-0.
The boys leave this Friday for Boise and the PCRU Playoffs.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Great stuff mate, go well in Boise![]()

Thanks!!!- there's some weird arrangement I've just got wind of--- something like, we, the #1 seat, will have to play a double-elimination in Boise to advance. Maybe because we didn't use small caliber weapons as a response to on-field challenges like our well-to-do Bay Area Brothers?(juuuust havin' fun, not serious) Doesn't make sense, being penalized for going 10-0... I'll try and find out more.. NCRFU, PNRFU & ARFU
Host PNRFU: Snake River RFC - Boise, ID
Contact: Jeremy Haener
jeremy@inlandcrane.com
Date: May 1st & 2nd 2010
Saturday - May 1st 2010:
Pool A
Match A 12:00 PM: NCRFU 1 vs PNRFU 3
Match B 2:00 PM: AZRFU 2 vs PNRFU 1
Pool B
Match C12:00 PM: AZRFU 1 vs NCRFU 3
Match D 2:00 PM: NCRFU 2 vs PNRFU 2
Sunday - May 2nd 2010:
Match E 10:00 AM: Loser A vs Loser B
Match F 10:00 AM: Loser C vs Loser D
Match G 12:00 PM: Winner A vs Winner B
Match H 12:00 PM: Winner C vs Winner D
Winner of Match G = PC #1 = USA #1
Winner of Match H = PC #2 = USA #6
Loser of Match H = PC #3 = USA #9
If I see this correctly, the winner of Match A, plays the winner of match B. So ourselves or Valley of Seattle, Washington, have to win twice to advance as Pac Coast v. USA#1. Doesn't this seem weird? Why should the top seeds play a double elimination as a reward for finishing the regular season on top? Call me crazy...or dim...daft?? maybe??

TChook, to me it seems your "reward" is to play the equal bottom team in the first round?
May have read easier and like the RWC if instead of calling them Pools (indicating everyone plays three matches) that they just called them Quarter Finals.
It looks like a fairly normal format to me where everyone plays two matches to get ranked.
After all, to be the best you need to beat the best![]()

The odd thing, if I've read it right, is that AZRFU2 (second in Arizona conference?) have a chance of being Pac Coast #1, whereas AZRFU1 (first in Arizone conference?) only have a chance of being Pac Coast #2. Similar situation with PNRFU3 and PNRFU2.
But congratulations, TC9. Unbeaten must be an awesome feeling.
