Am I destined to watch rugby on my humble widescreen TV at home??
Is it really that hard for pubs in Perth to call themselves a “Sports Bar” then proceed to insult whatever game they show by stretching the 4:3 (square) image onto a 16:9 (rectangle) widescreen so that all the images (ie players) are out of proportion?
Ultimately I am after a pub in Perth that will:
- 1) Play live rugby; (yes there are lots of those around thank goodness) – but how many of those pubs:
- a. Have the commentary turned on so that people can hear it;
- b. Have the technology to broadcast events on other screens at the same time (i.e. live cricket, footy etc (very important for maximum viewing pleasure and to satisfy all parties!) - (i.e. as we discovered last week - Fenians in St Georges Tce is incapable of doing this) and;
- c. Display the image in the correct aspect ratio; (very important to me because I want to view the game how it's meant to be broadcast and watched)
So far I have only found a pub in Narrogin (god bless 'em!), the Vic in Subi and one of the screens at the Inglewood who have managed to figure this out...
Please add to the list or at least point me in the right direction in order to find my rugby nirvana in a pub…
Thanks
