OK, here's a start:
David Pocock
Nickname: Bam Bam
Date of Birth: 23rd April 1988 (Taurus)
Place of Birth: Gweru, Zimbabwe
Occupation: Rugby Player/Student
Rugby (& other relevant) Info:
Somewhere between 178 & 183cm tall - depending on which research facility
Preferred Position: Openside Flanker (7)
Anglican Church Grammar School (East Brisbane, QLD) 1st XV - undefeated champions
Australian Schoolboys 2005
Australian U/19 World Champions 2006 - played 4 of the 5 matches - scored 2 tries v Scotland
Emirates Western Force 1 game 2006 - v Sharks, ABSA, Durban
More to come - enquiries continue - stay tuned...
Take good care of Bam- Bam's Profile Ecky, he is sure to be a star player sooner rather than later. Line Break says that Bam Bam is 182cm tall, this would be the most recent and reliable measurement.
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
I'll treat him as my own Shaun, no worries.
RWA website has him at a different height than Line Break, IRB website different again! must be a growing lad........
I don't think they have updated the RWA profile for him from 2006 yet Ecky, I'd go for the Line Break stats: 182cm & 102kg.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
At the tender age of 18.5 he may well have a few more cm to go - Like to think that the force actually have it right at 182cm
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
OK, here's a start:
Updated (finally) 3 April 2007
David Pocock
Nickname: Bam Bam
Date of Birth: 23rd April 1988 (Taurus)
Place of Birth: Gweru, Zimbabwe - one of three sons, their father having a farm growing flowers for export
Occupation: Rugby Player/Student
Moved with his family to Qld in 2002 when Mr Mugabe decided land reforms in Zim required the Pocock farm to be vacated by the Pococks.
Rugby (& other relevant) Info:
182cm tall, 102kg
Preferred Position: Openside Flanker (7)
Anglican Church Grammar School (East Brisbane, QLD) 1st XV - undefeated champions (started life as outside back then discovered flanking - as most late-teens do)
Qld under-age rep (unsure what age group/s yet, stand by...)
Australian Schoolboys 2005
Australian U/19 World Champions 2006 - played 4 of the 5 matches - scored 2 tries v Scotland
Emirates Western Force 1 S14 game 2006 - v Sharks, ABSA, Durban
Also played as reserve in 2006 pre-season game v Cheetahs, Subi
Emirates Western Force 9 S14 games 2007 - and counting.
Has made the starting XV a couple of times in 2007 and taken the field as a reserve in the others.
Extraordinary strength for such a young man makes Bam Bam an ideal impact player who has produced the goods in most of his time on-field in 2007.
Is probably the record holder for the player sin-binned latest in a game....

G'day Poasa, we all agree with you there, he is certainly a man with plenty of potential, and we are glad to have him on our team...Welcome along mate...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
A star without a doubt
Bamm-Bamm is sure to start at 7 a whole lot in 2008, the only downside to that is that we have a host of good loose forwards who also deserve a spot.
Gotta be a nice problem for Mitch to have!
C'mon the![]()
