80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
I have grave fears that we will lose Gus to the Reds. He has very strong rugby & family ties in QLD (his entire family, including his gran, were sitting around me at the game against the Rebels in Melbourne a couple of weeks back!) and he has worked with Nick Stiles and Graham before so he knows their style and that they will go out of their way to support him.
Graham will be desperate to do something to save some face and keep his job at the Reds, so getting Gus back to Qld would be a big step in that direction for him. Moreover, I'm sure that the QRU and ARU would ensure there is enough $$$$$ on offer to ensure this future Wallaby is playing in rugby heartland and not the wild west!
I really hope I'm wrong......
I hope you're wrong too.
I think Manu will not get renewed, which is a pity, he showed a lot of promise. Perhaps not the style of prop that foley is looking for, as he scrummed very well.
Longbottom will re-sign, and i reckon he would do it if only offered a pittance too.
Cowan, he'll get at least another season, but he is starting to get a bit older. how many season do you think he has left?
Charles is a no brainer, but that lineout has to start working better!
I keep seeing and hearing good things about coleman, and the whispers are that Battye will lose his place to him.
Alcock and Cottrell need to be re-signed, but there is the issue of replacing hodgo in the next couple of years. Hodgo is a machine at the moment, another one with the question of how many years? Also, if hodgo gets injured, who is our next 'pilferer'?
Mathewson is a MUST!
Hayward can come back anytime!
DHP i am not too sure about. Was solid in the Bulls style of play, but fumbled the ball a few times when trying to counter. Would like to see him do a bit better!
otherwise, i am not too sure on the others. Junior has come out firing, but he has yet to convince me totally, CTM has come out a couple of time and worked hard, but i have also seen him in bad positioning and missed tackles. Dellitt is out to pasture...
I cannot see any of the above that need to sign, not wanting to and the big question is mathewson.

Western Force are set to re-sign promising young second-rower Adam Coleman and local prop Ollie Hoskins, who have both featured in this season's resurgence.
They are also hoping to retain bullocking back-rower Angus Cottrell, tipped as a possible bolter for Wallabies selection.
There are suggestions Queens-land coach Richard Graham is interested in Cottrell.
Graham lured Coleman to Perth from Brisbane club Wests - ironically current coach Michael Foley's former club - when he was the Force coach.
Foley stressed the importance of keeping young players.
"There are one or two guys we might want to bring in, but retention is the priority," Foley said.
"We are looking to build depth in our squad.
"We have got guys that are playing well right across the team. We've got a great group that are playing for each other, getting better all the time."
Coleman missed the first two games this year with a hand injury, but Hoskins and Cottrell have featured in all nine matches.
Coleman was in last year's Force pre-season, but returned to NSW and made his Super Rugby debut against the WA club after being called up by the Waratahs in their 28-13 win at nib Stadium.
Hoskins made his debut for the Force from the reserves bench in this season's opening match.
He has come through the RugbyWA pathway.
Crikey Alison I hope you're wrong too... With how RG is and the REDS at the moment..at least he must have to think twice..![]()

Gee you guys are being pretty harsh on pek. Props mature later he has a good number of years left to play for us if he wants.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
Leave Pek be. He gives his all every week and TBH deserved a few more Wallaby spots than he got. He can still go up against the best and hold his own!
Great news on Ollie and Colman. Good on you lads!
May the FORCE be with you!
How great is it to secure such young and up and coming talent. Not only secure but by ollies comments it was never in doubt what he was going to do. Now to balance the squad with some older heads and off we go for next year.

From what I've seen recently, it's time to bid a fond farewell to Phoenix and Paddy. Thanks to Paddy for his service, and all the best to Phoenix who may have showed some promise at some stage, but has never really delivered, unfortunately. More than happy to keep the other 2014 expiries, some of whom will have some very stiff competition for their spot in the side, which is zackly what we need.
Maybe I'm missing something. Has there been anything actually said apart from speculation about Gus going to Qld?
If he does go, the only reason it will be because of is cash. Qld would have to be the most unattractive team in Aus at the moment.
I over-heard someone Saturday night say we'd been in talks with Quade? I don't believe it for a second, but, how would that go down?
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
Alby isn't going to ZA. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Sias and Prior work together. The Bulls match didn't tell us much. Also hoping for Zac and Justin to get some more exposure. How they all progress will be key, looking ahead. Sias wants to stay, apparently. I'd sign him for another 2 years.
