DECLINING FORCE
Australian Rugby Union's pending takeover of the Western Force has already taken a toll on the ailing franchise's small finance team.
The Super Rugby outfit last week parted ways with chief financial officer Maryanne Wilson, whose position has been made redundant ahead of the planned financial centralisation of the Force at the ARU's head office in Sydney.
Wilson had run the books at the club and RugbyWA since the eve of the Force's inaugural season in 2006.
The job has been tough in recent years, with a lack of meaningful support from the ARU and a dismal playing record weighing heavily on the Force's viability.

There was another CFO, David Round!
Unfortunately there's gonna be more. Hopefully Maryanne can get a new gig soon.
Maryanne did a sterling job and always pitched in. So sorry that she has been made redundant. Hope she got a decent pay out and finds a new role soon. Thanks for everything you did to keep the Force afloat Maryanne.
Out of interest, is the ARU paying the salary of the Rebels CFO or has that role been moved to Sydney too?!!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
A friend of mine was recently contacted by the CEO for an accounting role at RugbyWA. I advised to steer clear and am glad I said that now!
NZR attacking Auckland rugby issues http://www.allblacks.com/News/29214
Shows there are issues within a rugby stronghold and the Australia is not alone
The difference is identifying and doing something proactive before the horse has bolted
In Rugby WA there is to much of the blame game and it has been left to long as the sport has been run into the ground by a bunch of inefficient and underperforming people
Rugby is a contact sport on and off the field and the horse has bolted leaving rugby a mess in this state
An organisation that has been run into the ground by a few insestuise locals that kept it all for themselves by protecting there positions by engaging eastern staters in key positions to protect there own interest from locals
Board members from over east board members with no rugby back round brought in to network and where has that got RWA
During there 10 year history St Georges terrace would have had to be one of the richest streets in the world with money being flushed down the toilet for fun
This was never exploited as it was easy to sit back sip the SSB and engage more state hoppers from the east
Now we are angry at the ARU for doing what is necessary and blame them
The board has let all the locals down from employees to fans with there sit on our arse burn all the resources and now blame everyone else for the demise of the local organisation
Proof is the lack of transparency and detail as to why this transition is happening
Is that like an inuendo being an Italian suppository?
I was thinking institutionalised incest.
