Sledging in wild west
Everywhere they go, the NSWRU administration gets sledged. Even on the other side of Australia. In the program for last Saturday's match against the Force at Subiaco Oval, former Waratahs second-rower John Welborn provided a few hard truths. Querying why the Waratahs continually go on about their tradition and strengths, Welborn wrote: "Off the field, the politics of NSW Rugby seems to be locked in a perpetual state of turmoil. The heart of this trouble lies with several powerful constituent Sydney clubs, whose interests are not aligned with those of the Waratahs. This situation is a sea anchor for the Waratahs and has persistently hampered their on- and off-field performances. Financially, NSW Rugby has resembled a roller-coaster, and on several occasions the union has flirted with insolvency."
useless pricks...the only good thing they have is Lote!
Brother Gallagher I hear you

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
if only he was under oath. THEN it would be a lie of omission
How many super caps did Wellborn have with the Tahs?
63 according the the Wiki I checked before.
Edit: I checked again and it contradicts itself- says 63 Tahs caps, but the summary table says 52 Super caps total. I know someone will correct me ayway...

Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
So in essence, he would be one of the most capped Tah's players, plus, still one of the highest capped Force players (or locks at least). Either way, a very well educated and spoken person who would have intimate knowledge of the Tahs.
SMH is a Sydney paper - we need the West to be as one-eyed as them!
back in nam hey?
There is probably a number of ex Tahs (as per my intro, I was born in the heart of Sydney and lived in Eastwood until I was 27 - which pretty much back then made me a Tah's tah). As such, I can vouch that Sydney Media is ten times more parochial when their team is doing well, but will also be accusatory and blame every other factor other than poor team performance when they (the Tahs) go down. The Tahs weren't decimated by our boys recruiting, and lets remember something, without the Force, the team would have been in Melbourne. Can you really see Rugby taking over AFL in the heartland of Aerial Ping Pong? At least here there is a big enough Ex Pat UK/SA crowd to help boost the loyal West Australian Rugby Lovers. If us Ex Pat Tahs can throw our united, whole hearted support behind the Force, which in turn improves our Wallabies stock, then those blue blooded tahs should be THANKING us!
