Congratulations to Ben Whittaker, the Western Force's 53rd player to be capped for the team from Perth and the fourth for 2009.
While Whittaker didn't get a long run on Friday night, he handled himself well and certainly helped continue the strong platform set by the starting combination.
It is early days for Whittaker however, he has certainly thrown his hat in the ring as a long term replacement for the man he substituted, Tai McIsaac and should have shown enough to ensure a seat to South Africa for the season determining fixtures against the Bulls and Stormers.
Name: Ben Whittaker - Academy

Height: 189cm
Weight: 111kg
Date of Birth: 10/10/1989

Need a new Sub Forum please Boss
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
at 20 this year he could be a long term prospect for the force.
hopefully his development goes to plan and he will be a career player for the force.
like i said before, we need players who are to the force as Robert Harvey was for St Kilda
I might have been watching through rose-tinted spectacles (and certainly beer-tinted ones) but I thought the scrum was more solid with Whittaker in.
Probably the effect of fresh legs helped, but he certainly didn't look out of place.
Thought he was great and really eager to push some guys over at the breakdown. He didn’t do the usual Holmes thing a get a penalty for infringing at the break down. Hope to see more of him in the future.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
good solid start - he can only improve with the way we are scrumaging at the moment
yep...looked like belongs at this level which is great news for our future
coz Stone Cold says so
