Hawkeye Guy star Ben Batger has signed on the dotted line with the NSW Waratahs for 2008 ... uhmmm what happened with the eligable for the Wallabies requirementBatger becomes the second Bay player to front for an Aussie franchise after Gordon Falcon did some sterling services for the Brumbies back in S12 days.
Congratulations to Batger, just keep away from the Donut, if that bloke falls on you well medical science isn't that good to be honest.
Now all I need to find out is someone has signed with the Force and I'll be down to drawing which team to support out of a hat.
Thus far am coming down on the side of the Tahs, since the Canes don't happen to be signing up Bay players.
Would that be Ben Batger who played for the Brumbies, Eastwood and the Australian Under 21's you are talking about there Jethro?
Good to see him coming home![]()

In case Aussies are wondering the bloke is pretty good at footyOne of the stand outs for the Bay this year. Once you play for the Bay we kind of adopt you and passed sins are forgotten
Still say congrats to the Guy, he learnt everything he knows playing for the greatest Provincial Side in the world.
One eyed passion duly noted haha![]()

There's a couple more Bay players that should get S14 contracts in the coming months, will it happen, nope! The Hurricanes don't give a toss about their partners in crime. We actually end up with more players signing wth the Blues or Chiefs than our own regional area. Yes am going to be bitter, warp, and twisted towards the Canes in 2008.
Confirmation Hawke's Bay at worse will end up fourth on the ANZC ladder regardless of results this weekend. A chance at third but depends on other matches. Looks like we'll have a home quarter against Waikato![]()
