The Eagles looked very good in week 1 although it was againest the worst team in the league last year Houston. The Giants lost at home to the Colts who are one of the best teams the last few years. 2 evenly matched teams. The Eagles are 3 point favorites because it's a home game.

Hmmm...Most of us wouldn't bet against the Force and I won't bet against the Steelers. Both games are very evening matched and could go either way so the only bet that makes sense to me is #1.

Giants Eagles game update:

The Eagles dominated the first 3 quarters and went into the 4th quarter leading by 17 points 24-7. The Giants scored 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter and tied the game @ 24 with 7 seconds left. With 3 minutes left in overtime Eli Manning threw a 35 yd. TD pass to Plaxico Burress.

You'll have to watch NFL.com for updates during tonights game. I won't be able to give updates (unless they have wi-fi )I'll be at the JB's of Philly. Finnagan's Wake A local Steelers fan group is going to take over the bar! A Philadelphia sports talk radio station is broadcasting from there tonight. The Eagles are coming off a crushing defeat to the Giants and the bar will be full of Black And Gold. It should be a great time.

Hi all!

I've been away for a bit with business and family related endeavors the
last couple of weeks, but things are calm (for now anyway) on the home
front and STEELER FOOTBALL is officially here!! Can you believe I was
at a rehearsal dinner on Thursday (and they call themselves friends of
mine...lol) night and was having to get score updates from my phone and
the kitchen staff! I was sorry to have missed the innaugurial game at
Finnigan's Wake, but I understand that Mike Driscoll (owner) has gone
INSANE with trying to accomodate our group.

I know that there has been some discussion about Finnigan's vs. Fox and
Hound for the Steelers games, but I was just curious if Fox and Hound
provided those Primanti style sandwiches this year like Finnigan's did
Thursday? Did Fox and Hound provide the sound for the Steelers game or
did you have to compete with ESPN X games or Punky Brewster reruns?
Finnigan's has four (4) flat screen plasma televisions, one projection
television (with another on the way), and three (3) 19" televisions
behind the bar - THERE IS NOT A BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE.

We are going to do something a little extra special for this group in
hopes of truly building up the membership and commeraderie of the
existing fan base. I am fortunate enough to have a business that allows
for me to acquire some memorabilia, and over the next several weeks Mike
LoGreco and I are going to be deciding on what to do with such items as:

1.) John Stallworth autographed jersey
2.) Donnie Shell autographed jersey
3.) Kevin Greene autographed mini-helmet
4.) James Harrison autographed framed photo (Decking the Cleveland Brown
fan who ran onto the field last year - titled "SLAMMED!")

It's our hope to generate additional excitement within the group and a
genuine interest to support an establishment who believes in us enough

how big we get (Fox and Hound turned people away during the AFC

Well I'm back and disappointed. It was a tough defensive hard hitting struggle. Neither offense could do much but the Jags did enough to win 9-0 on 3 field goals. Big Ben didn't' look good at all. You could tell he hasn't played for a while. I have a feeling these 2 teams will meet again in the playoffs. It was a fun night other than the loss. I had 3 beers for Frontrow and they tasted good. Everytime I looked at a hott girl (and there were quite a few) I wondered how many girls like that were out there in the middle of OZ where he's at.

Congrats to our friend Flattop for being the only one to pick both winners. Nice job!

Thanks mate, i need those brews, let me tell you...And surprisingly, there are quite a few hotties in and around town, lots of backpackers....Most of the good ones( locals) are taken, but not the backpackers....But alas, as i am already shackled to the ball and chain, i am only enjoying the view, otherwise i would be a seriously dead man( considering that even looking at another girl is grounds for an earbashing).
Sorry to hear about your teams loss, but hopefully they`ll bounce back next game, and i hope a bet can be placed before the big match this time...

Yes sorry Larry, its not that I have any great insight to NFL just that I enjoyed a holiday down near Jacksonville some years ago and have a soft spot for the Jags. Unlike me to bet with my heart and it not being Ireland.
