Test tickets for the Wallabies tests against France (28 June) and New Zealand (26 July) go on sale May 13.
The Australian Rugby Union has unveiled price-busting specials on tickets for the Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series Test against France at the renamed ANZ Stadium this season.
Tickets to the 28 June showdown between the Qantas Wallabies and the side that ended the All Blacks’ World Cup dream three months ago start at just $25 for children and $49 for adults.
In the Gold and Silver categories, prices have been set at their lowest levels in seven years for a Test against a top-tier nation.
Fans can purchase a Gold ticket for $84 – compared to $94 for the same category seat when France played the Wallabies at the same venue in 2002.
A family package (two adults-two children or one adult-three children) for the Test against the World Cup semi-finalists are being offered at $138 for silver category seats and only $98 for bronze category.
These prices represent a saving of $41 and $27 respectively on the corresponding family packages available for last year’s Sydney Test between the Qantas Wallabies and Wales.
The ARU has also been mindful of keeping ticket prices affordable for the long-awaited return of a Bledisloe Cup Test to Sydney.
The All Blacks last took on the Qantas Wallabies at Homebush three years ago.
Silver category ticket prices for this year’s 26 July blockbuster have been maintained at 2005 levels – $114 a ticket.
Platinum category tickets, the best seats in the house, are priced across the board at $164 for the series opener against New Zealand – an increase of $10 on 2005.
Gold category tickets, again with no concessions available, will be $144 – a price increase of just $5 compared to three years ago.
Bronze category tickets have been set at $79 (adults), $39.50 (children) and $51 (concession).
The ARU’s policy on children’s tickets and family packages was reviewed before the 2007 season and prices are consistent with those on offer for the Bledisloe Cup match at the MCG last year.
Bronze family packages are available at $178 – the same as for 2007. Silver family packages are $257 compared to $245 last year.
Tickets for the Sydney Tests go on sale to the general public through Ticketek from 9am on 13 May.
