Johannesburg - Springbok lock Bakkies Botha and centre Jaque Fourie sustained injuries in the Mandela Tribute Test at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday afternoon that could upset Springbok coach Peter de Villiers's planning for the three home Tri-Nations Tests on the following three Saturdays.
The Springbok won the Test 63-9, scoring nine tries after leading 14-9 at the break.
Fourie, selected for the Test against the advice of his provincial coach Eugene Eloff who felt he hadn't sufficiently recovered from a groin injury, made his first Test appearance of the year on Saturday, but left the field minutes later after an opponent's head crashed into his cheekbone as Fourie was trying to save a try.
Botha left the field with a knee injury. Fourie's injury was reported as a "confirmed fracture" shortly after he was replaced

if the second half is anything to go by, the All Blacks should be worried
Boks embarrass the bajada
Cape Town - The Argentinian 'bajada' scrumming technique, of course, is supposed to be a thing of biomechanical, highly co-ordinated marvel and majesty.
South Africa stirringly attacked its very heart in Johannesburg on Saturday, a little like storming Fort Knox while the midnight shift snoozes, and suddenly found it wanting.
Systematically and determinedly stripping it of its legend, the Springboks' own cohesion and power at scrum-time - eureka, it's been such a long time coming! - gnawed away at the Pumas' egos in this department until they buckled into a whimpering, more widespread general heap. General heap? Well, yes... 63-9 and a nine-try-to-nil romp should tell you exactly that.
Indeed, the final ignominy, the symbolic running up of the white flag, came when supposed powerhouse loosehead Rodrigo Roncero got injured in the final quarter of the Madiba-honouring Test, thus becoming their second prop to succumb in this fashion and enforce uncontested (they used to be called something frightfully more politically incorrect) scrums ...article here

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
