ALL Blacks coach Steve Hansen has savaged Australian rugby and sent a blunt message to the ARU: "Get your house in order".
Hansen said Australia must stop poaching New Zealand talent after the Wallabies drew with the All Blacks 18-all on Saturday night thanks largely to born-and-bred Kiwi Mike Harris.
The laser-boot fullback spent 21 of his 24 years in Auckland and learnt how to kick copying All Blacks great Andrew Mehrtens.
On Saturday night, Harris kicked five penalty goals from five attempts, enabling the Wallabies to scrape out a draw.
Hansen said Harris should not have been poached from Auckland rugby and is the perfect illustration of what is wrong with the code in Australia.
Hansen bristled when asked if Harris' star turn for the Wallabies after representing New Zealand under-19s showed there was a breakdown in the All Blacks development system.
"It's called Australia pinching our players, that's the breakdown in the system," Hansen said. "It's time you developed your own players in your own country.
"What I find frustrating is Australia's trying to build their game, putting more franchises in, but all they're doing is stealing our players.
"Get your house in order. You must put the energy and time into development not just come over to New Zealand and take ours."
