Aaron Cruden's All Blacks exile continues, with Beauden Barrett named to start at five-eighth in the final Bledisloe Cup Test in Brisbane on Saturday.
Cruden hasn't even been named on the bench, with the versatile Colin Slade instead receiving the nod.
Cruden was dropped for the All Blacks' final two Rugby Championship matches against the Pumas and South Africa after failing to make it to Auckland Airport for the team's flight to Argentina.
Coach Steve Hansen's team named on Thursday includes five changes to the side which lost 27-25 to South Africa in Johannesburg two weeks ago.
Lock Brodie Retallick and prop Wyatt Crockett both return from injury and hooker Dane Coles joins Crockett in the front row.
Liam Messam replaces Jerome Kaino at blindside flanker, while Cory Jane will start on the right wing as Ben Smith is rested.
Hansen says the team are keen to lift after their narrow loss to the Springboks.
"There is a real sense of determination in the team this week to prepare well and put in a quality performance on the weekend," he said.
"There were some aspects of our game in the loss to South Africa that we weren't happy with and we have worked hard on addressing those this week."
