In the interests of improving behaviour and etiquette in the drinking establishments that we frequent in this forum I'm going to present a series of lessons on Bar Behaviour, Courtesy. The Do's and Do nots whilst in a bar.
This is aimed at the younger adults, tho it can be said that some of the older members could learn a thing or two.
Lesson one is getting drunk and how to get there.
Rule 1 - Take your time, Its not a race. Drink at a pace that you feel comfortable with not someone else's.
Too many people drink doubles or triples and then feel the need to have a shot and then 2 hours later they are in a stall talking to god on the big white telephone :"oh help me jeebus"
Relax, take your time, enjoy the serenity. enjoy the view. If the view is not to your liking, wait a while. Have another drink, the view is starting to improve isn't it?
Rule 2 - Volume Control and Language.
No one is interested in your conversation apart from the group that you are with - and even that is questionable at times. If you find yourself getting louder you may have failed to follow Rule 1. Or the music/band have just started up.
Be aware of your surroundings. The language you use at the workshop is not the language to use at a bar full of people that you are trying to impress enough to spend some quality time with. Loud obnoxious people are always the first ones to go home alone.
Rule 3. Ranga's.
If you are part of this affliction. Probably best if you stay at home, or, move to Brisbane.
More to come.........
You're welcome.
