Following the success of the 2005 regional visits, the Emirates Western Force will travel to WA’s picturesque South-West next month to continue their preparation for the 2007 Investec Super 14 season.
The trip is designed to give the players the chance to visit with rugby fans and local residents to thank them for their support. Approximately 1000 Emirates Western Force members live outside the Perth metropolitan area.
The rural trip will also allow for the players to get to know parts of Western Australia outside the capital that they may not otherwise visit.
The 2006 tour will visit Mandurah, Busselton and Margaret River, where the team will train at local high schools.
Emirates Western Force coach John Mitchell said the trip was an important step in the squad’s pre-season preparation for the Super 14 season.
“WA is a unique state in the fact that it is so big. The trip will give the boys the chance to appreciate the vastness of the area and the variety of people that we represent,” Mitchell said.

That's a great idea.Anyone going to get to see them?
ohh....I just might "happen" to be in the area that day...
HAHAHAHAAAA, those massively remote rural areas!!!!
Really taking it to the sticks now!!!!
Model in any given mens mag, "Yeah, I come from this small country town in WA, you probably haven't heard of it. Mandurah it's called, way out in the sticks!"
Ok, ok, yeah yeah, it's a great initiative, a good starting point and it's expensive to go too far from the City but really.....![]()

Ya, tis got a bit of bush near the oval...and I can certainly find sticks.
I wonder if this means the bus service will not operate, because they consider Mandurah in the middle of know where.
A publicity stunt, for the boys to have a break down south, hit the winiries, beach etc etc.
And on the way we might as well use the south west towns facilities...
Saves stopping at the roadhouses....

Burgs you should sponsor the flight up to the mansion in the middle of know where.
Now that would be a pre-season training that will work them out...and how many people would watch them...at least 5000.
Do they take can tops or vCash![]()

Does the whole force want an article for the front page on the Training report?
