Force attracts Lance out west
The Western Force have struggled to recruit big names in the player market this season but they’ve jagged themselves a man with Super Rugby title winning experience for 2016.
Waratah and former Queensland Reds utility Jono Lance has agreed to join the Force.
Lance is a very solid player who wore the no.15 in Queensland’s 2011 premiership and was a squad member in NSW’s title winning outfit last year.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Wow, another mediocre signing who can't get a game elsewhere.
Hope his favoured position is sitting
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
He's a solid player who can play across the backline and may find a home with us so good luck to him if it is true, but would have thought the waratahs were stacked enough so that we could have leaned on carraro or horne with the promise of a consistent game time.
If this is true who is making way in the squad then?

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Quite a few that still need to re-signed looking at the list. Our current standings on the table would not be helping us recruit one bit. Wonder what Stander might do then. Holmes probably thought he would be getting more game time as well. Can see either/or scott/nikoro asking for a release at the end of the season if foley doesn't play them.
If they are never named in the match day squad not much point to them. Their positions could just as ably be filled by some of the local lads.

Whilst it's good that we're able to attract Australian backline talent to the team I can't say I'm overwhelmed by the prospect of seeing Jono Lance in Force Blue.
Let's start crowing when we can recruit a Tah who can make the 23.
