Just thought we should say thanks
Dear Mr Forrest
I feel it is appropriate to publicly thank you for intervening to help save the Western Force. I am aware that you and FMG have been supporters of the Force for some time, having seen some of FMG’s initiatives to generate support for our team in the business community – along with sponsorship of Hogdo’s jersey after we lost our Emirate’s sponsorship.
Thanks for stepping that up a level with your address to the team after the match against the Warratahs. I am not sure what your new offer of support entails, however, I understand you have committed to do whatever it takes to ensure the Force survives in WA. If that is the case there are many committed Force supporters who are very grateful for it.
The Force has a potentially bright future. You saw first-hand at the Warraths match how well our team can play and just how strong and passionate the support for the Force is in WA. The Western Force and RugbyWA have also been very successful in developing local talent and building Wallaby players over the past few years. By these important measures the Force is on an upward trajectory and it would be an absolute travesty to see the Force fold, sending the game we love backwards in WA for a generation or more.
I believe any substantial investment you make in helping to secure the Force’s future is an investment well made, with rugby continuing to grow in WA. Rest assured many rugby fans in WA appreciate your help.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
