Anyone else annoyed by the advertising along the sideline?

I sit in block 132 and was annoyed to find some joker thought it was a good idea to put advertising along the sideline that restricted my viewing! From where I sit I couldnt see the sideline and about 2m worth of the ground the entire length of the field so even though there were some spectacular tries down in my corner I wasnt sure they got through...i did some further investigating and discovered you would have to sit in the very back row to get a glimpse of the sideline...

    anyone else annoyed by this?

I believe this is the culprit:

Yes, it was very disappointing. I imagine the Gold members would be very upset, having paid extra for better seats, only to find they can't see the sideline. And the two rows of visiting Crusaders fans at the front must have been wondering what sort of Mickey Mouse operation we run over here!

yeah i am in the same area stone cold and as you know everyone had to jump up to see any action near the touch line. Also at the end of the game instead of the players walking next to the supporters it acted as a barrier for them to stay further away. That was apart from T.M who saw a bunch of kids and walked arounfd the singage to sign autographs.

the signs didn't look any taller than the ones they had last year, were they closer to the pitch?

They seemed a bit higher. Also, I think last year's signs where triangular prism-shaped - they sloped back towards the seating, and so didn't obstruct the view as much.

Not sure about the distance - couldn't see the sideline, hence the problem!

serves you goldies right .. come to Silver world!! nah the only way to fix this is a proper pitch to play on .. we raised this with Tom Baddelly in 2006, those signs bring in a lot of money...

im actually a silver member...i dont have a problem with advertising but i wouldnt mind being able to see the game as well...the problem would probably disappear if they just moved them back a couple of metres

or just build us a proper stadium...

In a proper stadium, those signs would be on the fences and you wouldn't have a problem Stoney!

    Yeah in a proper stadium...

I have to say I sit in 101 and it was pretty distracting for the first 10 mins..then the rugby took over..

My 2006 gold seats were low and close to the ground, but we couldn't see the touch line from where we were due to the STUPID signage. Doesn't sound like it's improved much

Me too. I'm in block126 and I could not see the sideline. grrrrr. What is the point of having Gold membership, the only thing that keeps me there is the vain hope of a rectangular stadium and THEN I'll have a decent seat (Note to self: do not hold breath whilst waiting)

I agree Ecky.....they provided great entertainment during the breaks in play (in between the waitress serving ice-cold full-strength beers).
