For the first time ever, Fiji will host a Super Rugby match, which will see the Crusaders taking on the Chiefs in Suva next July.
This was announced in the national budget address by Finance Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
Government has allocated $2.3 million for the hosting of the match on July 1.
The Crusaders will have the likes of Flying Fijians Nemani Nadolo, and Ben Volavola along with Jone Macilai.
The Chiefs have the likes of Seta Tamanivalu and Japan’s Fiji-born skipper, Michael Leitch.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has been allocated $22.5million for next year, an increase of $5.8m.
