The Stormers have defeated the Emirates Western Force 32-16 in front of 24,225 fans at Subiaco Oval in Perth tonight.
The Cape Town side scored four tries to two, with winger Tonderai Chavhanga scoring twice and being named Man of the Match.
The match was Nathan Sharpe’s 100th Super Rugby game and Tai McIsaac’s 50th.
Chavhanga scored after just 48 seconds to set the tone for the night, as the visitors used their speed out wide to good effect.
Drew Mitchell broke his 2008 drought when he finished brilliantly, and after a Matt Giteau penalty the home side lead 8-7.
From that point on it the Stormers dominated the scoreboard, as Chavhanga, Jean De Villiers and Brok Harris dotted down to open a 32-11 lead.
Ryan Cross scored a late consolation try to reduce the margin to 32-16.
