Jeez guys what's happened to our papers and websites this weekend.
First we get The Worst telling us Gits MIGHT stay and the Force MIGHT move to Members Equity.
Then, and check this out, The Sunday Times and Perth Now say Gits WILL stay, the Force WILL move, and then of course there's the naughty boy!
The Sunday Times/Perth Now and Nick Taylor usually gets things right. And it seems he talks to Gits by the looks of things.
I hope he is right this time. He seems pretty firm on the WILL'S and he reckons its going to be a 25,500 seater stadium too. Plans unveiled in the New Year
Check out the stories on the Perth Now website and let's get talking.
Barnett is going to be at the Crusaders game. We have to get a full house at MES and show him we are serious, rugby is here to stay and we want a proper stadium.
If everyone member brings at least one friend who hasn't been before you will have a crowd twice the size.... lend them your last years members cap, extra team shirt or better still buy them one. It will all add the sea of blue supporters adding colour to the MES... Barnett will get the message...
Lets do it
Get the message out
Be realistic, how many Force fans would swing left at the next election over a stadium?
Thats right, I think you will find more Labor voters that are supporters of AFL...
We dont have much leverage, our middleclass roots are going to haunt us I am afraid.
The MES solution might be a good one. We are NOT going to get a stadium, certainly not in the next 4 years, possibly 8.
Lets just get on with it.
Hasta la vista Pam
Bronski, exactly how many voters do you think NEED to swing to swing a government which is holding on to power with the narrowest margin in living memory?
Dude it was only a couple of months ago we were watching the Nationals (with 4 sitting members) deciding who was going to win the election based upon who was planning to spend more money in the north west.
Seriously, if we could get 100 votes to swing in the right places this government disappears next election.
Everything is an election issue in WA today, why not stadiums?
C'mon the![]()

GIGs...thats the stuff fight for the stadium upgarde at the MES...Bronski is giving in to easily...

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Guys.
Quit the arguing lets just do it
I wonder if the fact that the game is on the Australia Day weekend will affect the crowd. Lets face it half the population of Perth migrates south every Long Weekend
