there is a rumour getting around that a All Black from this season will be signing with a Aussie S14 side.
Couple of theories but its believed it could be Daniel Braid to the Reds or Ali Williams to the Waratahs.
I think Ali Williams signed with Auckland again a couple of weeks ago.
hmmmm..interestingg
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
is aussie rugby REALLY that desperate to steal allblacks? saffas is one thing but... allblacks??? shameful![]()

Here is the article.
Ali Williams to return to Auckland Rugby
allblacks.com - 19/09/2008
All Black Ali Williams has signed a two year contract with the Auckland Rugby Union.
Williams, a former Auckland and Blues player, signed with Tasman in 2007 and played for the Crusaders in this year’s Rebel Sport Super 14 competition.
New Blues’ coach Pat Lam is looking forward to Williams return to his home town
“Ali’s a quality player as shown by his performance for the All Blacks this year. We’ve worked together for many years and I’m thrilled he’ll be with Auckland Rugby and the Blues next season.”
Williams said he’s looking forward to playing for Auckland and the Blues again.
“Auckland’s my home town and I’m looking forward to returning. I enjoy playing for Pat and Shane Howarth and it will be good to line up alongside some of my old team-mates again next year.”

^^^ yeah well the money is on Daniel Braid to the Reds
how is signing a Springbok any better then signing a All Black? I would much rather a kiwi in my side then a south african.
If the rumour is true and the Reds do sign Daniel Braid then it would be a great signing, his a pretty decent openside flanker and will more then fill the requirement for a couple of years until the Reds can develop another flanker. He also brings a good level of experience to the youthful Reds pack.
confirmed: Daniel Braid to the Reds
good signing for queensland....

Good on the Reds - is Mr Braid a marquee signing or is it classed as an australian i.e. he has never been an All Black ?
