Is the Force really chasing Dunning?

I hate to single Dunning out but he's past his use by and won't get back in the Wallabies ever! He's seriusly injured and no one knows how he will recover. It would be a bad punt signing him.

Read somewhere that the Force were chasing Will Caldwell before he signed with the Tahs. Don't know why though. Depth maybe. I figure most teams are trying to get as much depth as possible so maybe its a bit of that.

there is 999,999 players to look at before dunning.. even the police won't be happy with signing dunning all the pink donuts gone before morning tea.

not as good as dunning.. on the stats front, He is the best in the world for drop goals with ratio 100% 1 from 1..

At least the wallabies can call on him if a world cup goes to drop goal shoot out.

    Dunning is very under estimated
He absolutely dominates at Sydney club level. At super 14 level he has rarely been bettered. The Tahs have had a very solid front five since he came into their squad circa 2002. He is surprisingly mobile for someone of his size and with the quality (or lack of it) on the Western Force bench, he would be a real good pick up.
I agree he would need to pass a medical as the return to elite rugby of a large lad following an Achilles rupture has to be a guarded prognosis. Quality props aren't exactly lining up to join the Force and Perth grade rugby isn't producing any.

I suspect they still want donut because he is a specialist loosehead who can sufficiently cover tighthead,so he will likely replace aj on the bench next year.

Also they will not need 6 props,so gaining donut means that they can drop 2 props.
Which will be boof and maybe one other.

Heard that BC has enjoyed his time in Perth and is regretting not hanging around longer. But I also think that the force needed his spot open to gain an international replacement for gits.

Its a shame because Pek,Tai and BC really started to click as a unit by working with each other to improve game by game, they seemed to click during the season which is why they did so well.

Hopefully BC and Tai will be fit enough to play Sat,but I doubt it by the sounds of it.

Sounds like Dunnings is coming over gee the force will have a great foward pack next season just no one to pass it to in the backs!

Don't need the backs to win games. After all Dunning's the drop-goal master!

he may play even better if he comes here, make wallabies again coz thats what seems to happen with most of the players who head west

    BOKKE
“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

Dunning is a good prop. Regardless of what many may want to believe. He has recovered from the achilles injury and is in the best shape of his career. At the moment there's no one in the Force's front row that would pushv for the Wallabt squad. Having someone who has would be beneficial.

Twenty bucks says Robbie Deans uses both Tim Fairbrother and Pek Cowan in 2011.

I don't like to see a career ended prematurely through injury, but surely an Achille's injury has to be a major concern if they wanted Dunning as a starter?
