All Black great great Jonah Lomu has agreed to play in the Help for Heroes match at Twickenham on September 20.
Lomu will turn out for the International Select XV in the fundraiser staged to help the care and rehabilitation of British service personnel injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The 33-year-old winger won 63 caps before illness cut short his career but he has recently been training with the New Zealand Warriors.
"As soon as I heard about the Help For Heroes cause, and the game, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of," said Lomu.
Former Wales centre Scott Gibbs captains the International Select XV against the Help For Heroes XV, led by Lawrence Dallaglio.
Another Welsh legend, Ieuan Evans, is managing the side with former Ireland boss Eddie O'Sullivan and ex-Llanelli and Leeds boss Phil Davies taking tracksuit roles.
England's World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson announced his participation in the event last week and will play alongside Dallaglio.
