Former Test and Queensland State of Origin winger Jharal Yow Yeh has announced his retirement from rugby league.
Yow Yeh, who suffered a horrific lower leg injury while at the top of his game for the Brisbane Broncos two years ago, announced his decision at a media conference in Brisbane on Monday morning.
The 24-year-old said he could not continue to fight complications brought about by the badly broken leg suffered against Souths in Perth.

BUGGER! What a horrible shame. He seems a very level headed young bloke who had enormous potential. That was one of the ugliest injuries I've ever seen (happenned at NIB). I thought at the time his comback chances were pretty slim.

Never like to see a player call it quits because of an injury but his was pretty horrific! Especially at his age and with bucket loads of potential.
