Nathan Sharpe taking first steps towards comeback from shoulder injury
January 22, 2010 Western Force skipper Nathan Sharpe is expected to make his comeback from injury in a pre-season match in South Africa this weekend.
Sharpe missed the Wallabies' spring tour of Japan and Europe after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Force coach John Mitchell hasn't named a starting side for the Sunday morning (EDT) clash with the Stormers in Cape Town, however, Sharpe is likely to play some of that game and also part of their fixture against the Sharks next Tuesday.
All of Mitchell's major off-season recruits, including Wallaby Matt Dunning, New Zealand's Tim Fairbrother and South Africa five-eighth Andre Pretorius, are also expected to get at least 80 minutes of play under their belt.
The Stormers have named a strong side for the game, including their major recruits, Springbok backs Bryan Habana and Jaque Fourie.
