Burke Waratahs' new kicking coach
August 20, 2008
FORMER Australia back Matthew Burke has been appointed kicking coach of the NSW Waratahs.
Burke, who is the Waratahs' highest ever point scorer and second most capped player, starred for NSW from 1992 to 2004.
The former Waratahs captain finished his playing career late last year after a knee injury prompted him to retire following a three-and-a-half year stint with England club Newcastle.
Burke’s appointment completes the Waratahs coaching structure for next year.
Also joining the Waratahs as an assistant coach is current Wallabies assistant coach Michael Foley.

"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
Thats great news for Australian rugby!!
Burke and Latho have been our best fullback's for a long time and its great we can use one of them to coach future Wallabies...after Shep has finished his stint at fullback, of course.
the Tahs will certainly need him if they keep Beale on their team
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
Shows the character of the guy that he can forgive the terrible way the Tahs treated him.
Could not have happened to a better person, good on yeah Matt
Him and hickey have a pretty good relationship- burkey being an old eastwood boy
