Let's analyse the first round of the local Kwik Hire Competition (or whatever it's called these days).
Wanneroo v Kalamunda The Battle between two clubs to whom winning the competition is everything. Wanneroo have bought the best team available, and Kalamunda have retained a good proportion of the best available from last season.
I think Wanneroo will be slightly the hungrier. The Dogs by 9 points.
Perth Bayswater v Nedlands. Both clubs are on a gradual slide, even though Perth haven't realised it yet. The difference between them will be the home ground advantage. Perth by 14 points.
Associates v Rockingham. Hard to pick. Associates will be over confident as usual, and Rockingham will have a team on the field that actually wants to do it for their club. Could go either way. Rockingham by 3 points.
Wests Subiaco v Cottesloe. Cottesloe. Cott ain't no Joondalup. By 35 points.
Palmyra v University. HAHAHAHAHA. I've actually seen Palmyra's team on paper and at training. More defections than North Korea. University by 60 points.
But hey, what do I know. Opinions and abuse welcome.

That is a fair analysis of how it could play out, I just think West will beat Cotts
you also forgot to mention that Rockingham will beat Assosiates
Just remember that last year Kalamunda lost against Rockingham and Nedlands in the second round so do not trow them away just yet they normaly cause a upset here and there
Uni only won 4 out of 18 last year so there is hope for Palmyra

And don't forget the tipping competion for the local premier grade comp...
No Pieter, for once I'm agreeing with you!If you look again you will see that I'm picking Rockingham to beat Soaks, even if only by a small margin.
Rockingham are the Black Knight (of Monty Python fame) in the competition. They keep on fighting to the bitter end, and if they can put a few points up early against Soaks, they'll hold their lead, even if it's by the skin of Soaks' scrots.
Its only a flesh wound fulvio
I think you'll find that Uni told RugbyWA that they didn't feel like a night game as their boys needed their beauty sleep.
RugbyWA fell into a cold funk, and told them they didn't have to.
Went to watch Pally train again tonight. Shouldn't have bothered. I guess it was a case of hope burning eternally in the human breast. But it was just a dose of heartburn.
What a waste of time. Eleven first graders bothered to turn up, and there was barely half a second grade side there. And this five days before the beginning of the season.
What do you do?
you take those second graders and you play them with your 11 first graders and you will have a better team than before They are the ones that deserves to be in first grade not the lazy arses that only pitch on a Thursday because they know that it is a easy run on a Thursday before a game![]()
Fulv sounds like your another Palymra bloke falling into the trance of University fever hahaha but seriously that is some worrying signs if that is all you are getting to training on a thursday! And i think you are blind if you think Rockingham are going to beat Soaks, I reckon it will be Soaks by at least 20points!! Rocky only just split into seperate teams and apparently the trainings haven't been pretty stale
Only one beers? Must be a Saffers thing.

Neddie , while we've got your attention, how did Neds v Soaks go a couple of weekends ago?
Not playing unfortunately, I'm out with a groin injury I picked up on my post season trip to Thialand
