RugbyWA is planning a bold bid to bring the international junior world cup to Perth for at least three years.
The sport’s state governing body has begun investigating the logistics of hosting the 2021, 2022 and 2023 World Rugby U20 Championships.
The plan has the backing of Rugby Australia who would be unable to fund or stage the event on a stand-alone basis.

The would be great for inspiring our juniors. Also for our Force coaches and Hodgo to talent spot and recruit for GRR.

Emerging GRR academy chanpionship
Mean while Alex Masibaka, from Aranmore College, Soaks, and WA Academy, is the only WA player to be selected for the Australian Schools and U18 side. Well done Alex. I remember Alex being a keen little ball-boy at Soaks every Saturday for many years.
The side has 11 from Reds Academy, 9 from Tahs, 5 from Brumbies, 1 from Rebels, and just Alex from WA.

Good to see the Super Duper Rabble pathway bringing so many players through!!!
So is Rugby WA putting some effort in the U20 Comp then ... perhaps raising it to an importance level above 3rd grade?
