SANZAR ANNOUNCES SUPER 14 SEMI-FINAL TIMES AFTER MATCHES TODAY.
Sanzar today announced the times and venues for the Super 14 Semi finals, following overnight final week matches.
This morning The Sharks defeated the Stormers 36-10 in Cape Town.
The Bulls defeated the Reds 92-3 in Pretoria.
The Sharks (South Africa) will host the Blues (NZ) at 3pm (Local South African Time) next Saturday (May 12) at The Absa Stadium in Durban.
The Bulls (South Africa) will host the Crusaders (NZ) at 5.30pm (Local South African Time) next Saturday (May 12) at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Editors Notes:
The Bulls victory overcame the differential of 72 points needed to ensure a home semi-final.
It is the first time South African teams have hosted both Super Rugby semi-finals.
It is the first occasion a South African team has finished a Super Rugby season on top of the ladder.
This will be the first time since 2001 and only the third time in Super Rugby history (1996) that a New Zealand team has not hosted a semi-final.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
DAM that means the games will be at like 1 in the morning
9pm and 11.30pm, Perth time.
Excellent. No Aussie teams to support so I'm gonna root for the cheerleadersOriginally Posted by blueandblack
PS. This is not wishful thinking. Just making sure Larry understands.
Excellent timing.....9.00am and 11.30am in New York (where I'll be). Larry - you up for some rugby watching?
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
The mostconcerning aspect of all of this is the implication for the World Cup for the Springboks. The Sharks and the Bulls will provide the bulk of the team, with the exeptions of Juan Smith (cheetahs), De Villiers and Schalk Burger (stormers) and Jaques Fourie (Lions). To be honest, it is a frightening prospect...
Leave alone the bragging rights if they DO win.....
