Been looking at the RWC stats overall and noted some predictable, and some odd facts.
In overall RWC matches:
most games played NZ 32 [2nd AUS 30]
most points NZ 1460 [2nd AUS 1078]
most tries NZ 195 [2nd AUS 135]
most conversions NZ 146 [2nd AUS 103]
Yes - they still have the best pedigree.
Odd facts
Most penalties conceded ENG 101 [2nd FRA 90]
most drop goals ENG 14 [2nd SAF 12](anyone suprised?)
most yellow cards FRA 5 [2nd TNG 4]
most red cards CAN 3 [2nd SAF 2](that surprised me)

Well, from watching you'd think so gustafl, but I really feel most refs are pretty reluctant to reach into their pockets at the RWC. So, you may not see them presented.Originally Posted by gustafsl
I think in past cups, yes, there were less cardable incidents. That may have a lot to do with the speed and style of play, rather than blatant infringement.
