After a busy weekend at Southern Lions in Success and the new ARKS Harrisdale grounds, both fantastic facilities to hold the semi final weekend we head into the finals, held at Mandurah Pirates - another Championship facility where the burgers are better, well pretty much everything is better than most Prem grounds !
But hang on, isn't everyone in Prems next year !
The women's semis took prime time with both being played at the 3.30 slot on both days, but now Cott & Wanneroo have to slum it up at Tompkins at midday for their final.
Results wise in the Championship, it went with form pretty much and it's a home final both Pirates teams as they host Lions in both Championship B at 1.45 and Championship A at 3.30
Looking forward to seeing some great rugby being played.
Curtain raisers to the Championship finals will played with 4 different Prem clubs full of stacked reserve grade players and pushed out social members at earlier times. I hope they get there on time.
Lions are undefeated in Champ A, aren't they? It'll be a huge boilover for them not to win the grandy.
Nice post Kev, you seem to be turning into the Champ divisions version of Fulvio

Mmmmm lets contemplate things a bit.
Do decent rugby folk even go to the trouble of inputting mandurahs address into the sat nav and driving down to some feral infested district club, having to tolerate the bogan smells and in your face tatoos, the hoards of trackpant wearing low lifes, their brat offspring, pit bulls, foul mouth commentary, greasy offerings being passed off as food, thinking they are just so sophisticated only to have a 50% chance your car will be broken into or keyed as a thanks for coming?
Nup. You can have district rugby.

fuck off
When the OP includes a subtle jibe about the Prem grade games being played down at Mandurah surely it would be expected.
Good luck to all teams playing this weekend, both Premier and Championship.
plus the changing shed with no roof
That's exactly the sort of language I'm trying to avoid being subjected to all afternoon. And that's just from the brats.
I'll have my Saturday in the close vicinity of Claremont Quarter and then attend Tompkins Park on Sunday where hopefully the site is fenced with security to prevent district types turning up and breaking in, which comes naturally to them.
